Description

Is there some way that the database that shows all the modules can show the version (from the version.php file). Unless I am being really stupid one would need to download the module and check the version at the moment.

Definitively... it would be good... but I'm not sure about how to implement that.

Perhaps one new field type, able to read the contents of the "cvs" field and look for info somewhere (local copy of the cvs repository or directly via web...). Sounds really complex to maintain... uhm.

Any idea? Or, directly, "won't fix" ?

I think this can be considered resolved and closed now. The new plugins DB running @ moodle.org already shows each version in the downloads section, if I'm not wrong.
