Currently Moodle has language packs for Portuguese (pt) and Portuguese Brazilian (pt_br) but only one documentation wiki http://docs.moodle.org/pt/.

Both Jaime Villate and Paula de Waal have requested separate documentation wikis.

Adding a few watchers...

It seems that the differences between Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese are so big, that neither community wants to make a significant contribution to the existing pt documentation wiki.

Thus I recommend that, if possible, a separate pt_br wiki is set up.

A pt_br Mediawiki language pack exists.

Well, if current status is blocking all them... then we should try to unblock that IMO.

+0.75 for that

(allow me to be 0.25 reticent because I don't know if differences are so real. At least we, in Spanish, have one official and common "umbrella" for all the variants). But perhaps Portuguese is different)

Anyway my vote is positive for the split.

Ciao

Yes, I'm 0.25 reticent too, but let's do it!

http://docs.moodle.org/pt_br/ has now been set up and Jaime Villate and Paula de Waal informed of the separate documentation wikis for Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese.

Thanks a lot to Eloy and Koen for your help with this issue
