Description
It seems "which version" gets asked a lot in answers/replies. I didn't even notice the "My Moodle" in user profle until after I posted this the first time (my bad), so I don't know if that's what that field is for or not, but how about a dropdown (1.6x, 1.7x, 1.8x, 1.9x) so people know what goes into the field. Even better why not have their version appear beside picture/name in the post so no clicking on the profile is required to see "which version".

Todd - It is an interesting idea. We could implement a version field and associate with a user in their user profile; however, ultimately I do not think it would be that useful because many Moodle administrators manage more than one site. I have sites running 1.9 and 2.0 so it is really not a one to one relationship. Plus, not every post is related to a particular version. I think the best thing to do is just to encourage folks to include the version of Moodle they are using when it seems that knowing that may help someone respond to their question which is as you said most of the time. I think I am going to go ahead and resolve this as 'Will not fix' but we can always discuss it further in the forums. For now, I'm trying to clean up older tracker issues related to moodle.org so we have a clearer picture of what work still needs to be done. Peace - Anthony
