I've set up one up quickly here: http://planet.moodle.org/

  • more feeds
  • better design

Penny, it's using the main rss feed and selecting only articles tagged 'moodle'. Is that OK? Or do you still prefer to provide a special feed?

Helen, there's no web interface, you need to use ssh as root to edit the file, which is: /usr/local/planet/moodle/fancy/config.ini
We can probably quite easily make a PHP script to edit that file ... perhaps there is one somewhere already?

How is it doing that? I can't see the tags in the feed at all - does it have to fetch each entry and decide which ones to discard?

Anyway I think it's better to use a category. That's what I do for planetcatalyst and planetmahara.

For example, that tirade about the moodle cup being stolen is tagged moodle but I don't think I would put that into the planet category....

Yeah I specified http://she.geek.nz/feeds/index.rss2 and it seems to be using <category>moodle</category> in there correctly as a filter.
Anyway, I changed it to use your special URL. Thanks!
