New moodle.org theme looks washed out and pixellated on FF3

Description

See screen shots attd.
The FF version looks worse on screen than ni the screen shot. Text is not well defined and is rather pixellated.

Ray - it's not controlled by moodle or even Firefox - you need to change a tiny setting of your Windows:

Another possible cause might be that the FF3 setting Tools - Options - Content - Fonts & Colors - Advanced..."Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my
selections above" is not checked - but I suppose it is a font smoothing issue.

In my FF3 and IE7 fonts look the same.

Hi,

Yes and No.

Changing the settings outlined at the link above sorted it but on another PC in the office with default FF settings the site appears as on would expect.

I've been away so not had chance to investigate further.

Forum post HTML emails look similarly poor in Thunderbird.

There is one big change - Martin changed the default font to Lucida Sans Unicode family http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDLSITE-652

It's a little bolder than Arial etc common fonts.
