5- On the forums page, it is difficult to see the links to unread posts, because they are very far away (on the right) from the forum names (on the left). For the sake of legibility, I would like to have visible row lines there, such as we do have when we enter a forum, each topic has its own white/grey row line.

I created a proposal in the "Getting started with Moodle" block. Works much better.

The only way to get this outcome is to change the XHTML of the course list. The actual page structure does not work.

Thanks Urs, what XHTML changes do we need?

It appears to be a closely related issue that the editing icons are not currently aligned well, too. Can we solve this all in one change to the XHTML?

I just noticed that on large screens, its not easy to see which of the 'unread' bits is opposite which forum. Could some sort of even/odd pale background be used?
