docs.moodle.org search doesn't cope well with development pages

Description

I just tried searching for the gradebook improvements page and couldn't get it up in the search results. It seems that all development pages are excluded, with no obvious way to get them added in. If there is a developer search of some sort, it could do with better signposting and if there isn't, we need one.

Matt, thanks for your report. As you've found, by default, development pages are excluded from a Moodle Docs search. http://docs.moodle.org/en/Development:Developer_documentation includes the following instructions on how to include them:

If you are a developer, you probably want to change your preferences to include the Development namespace in searches.

Have you any suggestions as to how to make this clearer?

Hi Matt,

There are some Moodle search engine plug ins for the Firefox search bar (http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html?name=moodle). There's one for only searching Moodle.Doc. Perhaps you find one of those useful.
