Hi Marc,

when does that happen? On user creation, in the login process?

What do you get when the server refuses the password? Blank screen, login screen again, site main page?

Is that reproducible always? Only with one password, or with any password?

Any extra-info would be great to try to reproduce the problem. I use lo log in several times to that server daily and never have had that problem (unless my fingers start dancing themselves). :-P

TIA and ciao

I just get the same response as if you put in a bad username or password (i.e. the redisplay of the login screen with the red text.... and eventually if you keep trying to info about too many attempts.)

I have been unable to relate this to anything else save perhaps the increasing problem with accessing the database, but those situations usually result in the db busy page....

I have closed thee browser, changed browsers, etc and have manually entered the password, all to no avail.

I can however reset the password. and upon resent everything seems to return to normal.....

This happens infrequently (three times so far) . and always knocks me for a loop as typically I use FF to manage the passwords and all works without a hitch. As I said... when it happens I have tried to work through all possible variations but have yet to hit on anything but I thought it best to report than ignore just in case others have seen this but chalked it up to typing with their knuckles ;=}

I may have a bit of a clue....
It seems that sometimes Moodle.org is asking for a username with a initial cap.....
I use net-buoy for my login and that should be consistent on moodle.org, docs, tracker, etc....

but I noticed to day that it suddenly wanted me to log in as Net-buoy, not net-buoy - very strange.....

And , yes indeed, docs at least has me down with a cap N.....
My guess is there has been some confusion inFF among the sites vis-a-vis passwords stored..... and then of course user error....

Do I need to talk to Helen about changing username in docs?
