Database and other activities are extremely useful.

Database currently demands quite a high level of technical competence/confidence to set up, and either
i) administrators and developers will wish to set up databases for their users
or
ii) the users themselves will wish to work on Database (and other activities) separately to their work on the course(s) to which the database is eventually attached.

The principle is to recognise moodle as having both a design and development function, and a curriculum delivery function. The Design/Development function suggests the need either for an administration hotlink to activities for which presets are available, or establishing a 'local developer' block including all the expanded functions (Quiz, Database, Lesson etc).

This should include links to external resources (eg database for databases) and to internal/local presets and templates.
