An issue that I file in the new component doesn't seem to be automatically assigned to Jerome who I understand is the lead on the web services.

Helen, take a look to http://tracker.moodle.org/secure/project/SelectComponentAssignees!default.jspa?projectId=10011

there you can specfiy the default assignee strategy for each component. It seems that some components are defaulting to "project lead" instead of "component lead".

I don't know if there is any reason for that, but at least... I think you can change the "Web services " one.

Hope this helps, ciao

Helen and Eloy - By default, when new components are created they default to assign issues to the Project Lead. If someone creates a component, they should change it to assign the issues to the Component lead. Occasionally I run into this on the CONTRIB side where someone creates a component and does not change it to assign issues to the component lead. I don't think there is any other reason than folks just forgetting to change it. Peace - Anthony

Eloy, thanks for investigating, and Anthony, thanks for your explanation.

Web services issues should now automatically be assigned to Jerome as component lead.
