The Twitter ID profile field on Moodle.org should really link to the Twitter profile

Description

It would be great if the Twitter ID profile field on Moodle.org would actually link to to the Twitter profile. Please assign this to Martin D. as he has already promised he would fix it!

Bonus points for making smart use of the Twitter API (like publishing the bio, the amount of followers, followings, tweets, etc.)

Well, now it links, at least I backported Shane's link work from HEAD (MDL-17791) into a hack for moodle.org

Proper Twitter block using the API will have to wait for Moodle 2.0 and the nice new user page.

Is there any chance of getting this ported to core Moodle rather than just moodle.org? It has come up in a requirements gathering exercise here (at the OU).

I'd be willing to help migrate code if that would be useful. Maybe ought to be related to MDL-3969?
