 Description  « Hide
I am a gsoc student working on a timeline course format in collaboration with Martin L. I talked to arborrow in the jabber chat and he said to create a tracker issue for MDLSITE requesting that a test site be created for the timeline course format. The source code for the course format that I am working can be found in: contrib/plugins/course/format/timeline

Module installed in /course/format/timeline/
Cant see anything in the admin menu, assume its installed correctly.

Thanks Jordan. The way I would check is by going to the 'add a new course' page. There should be a new course format option named 'timeline'. Thanks, Jose

Jordan - I just tested the test site and I was able to create a course using the timeline course format Thank you so much for setting it up.

I will start creating a couple of example courses that use the timeline course format. Does moodle have a script to reset a moodle site to a known state? Similar to what the demo.moodle.org site uses? I am thinking that it might be good to reset test data and go back to a known configuration and list of courses after a few days or so. I will run this idea by Martin L, but I wanted to know if you guys had a script that takes care of this for test sites. If not, I could manually log into the test moodle site, delete the courses and restore them from a backup.

There is no clear/reset functionality, I will have to delete and reinstall the site if you want it clean. creating your own course backups would be a better idea

Jose, I wouldn't worry about needing to reset your test site. Our test site for the 1.9.5 gradebook improvements was available for ages and nobody messed it up.

I suggest you create an account with teacher rights to a timeline course format course, then post about it on moodle.org (as I did for the gradebook improvements here: http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=119925 ).

Thanks Helen, I will do that within the next hour. I appreciate the suggestion. I will still make a backup of the course just in case
