Description

Hi,

yesterday I was working in setting up the http://test.moodle.org/imscc/ site. Also, some hours ago (4 or so) I did a commit to the 19_STABLE branch in order to perform one CVS update to the test site using the admin interface.

I've tried both:

  • CVS update
  • CVS update to 1.9 stable

And code isn't updated with the files I introduced yesterday.

Is that normal (and changes are available daily) or is that a bug? Ideally one CVS update should work and fetch any change immediately IMO (well, really all CVS options should work 100% online against CVS repo and not against - delayed - copies/packages).

As said I don't know if it's an error or expected behaviour. For your expert hands, in any case... TIA!

P.D: I've also applied one patch via de admin interface 100% successfully! Great work! Really useful!

all CVS actions are done through the public US.cvs.moodle.org, which is working fine.. but may be a little slow in updating code from primary cvs,
All i can say is check that your code is in us.cvs.moodle.org before trying again ?

Well,

It's > 12 hours since I committed the stuff (backup/cc whole directory) and still I'm getting nothing in test.moodle.org. us server doesn't seem to have those files yet. (tried manual checkout).

So... WTH! :-P

In any case... wouldn't be better to make test.moodle.org to update from cvs.moodle.org, just in case some quick commit has to be applied. After all, only a few people is able o create test servers there isn't it?

Ciao

i can see backup/cc as of the 20th @ 2am HQ time
Il look into making a read-only account for test.moodle.org on cvs.moodle.org to avoid delays in future.

Note: I've deleted two messages that I put here by error. About problems with "eu" cvs mirror, go to MDLSITE-813, ciao
