In order to do CVS over SSH without a password, the user must copy and past her id_[rd]sa.pub file into a text box at <http://moodle.org/mod/cvsadmin/view.php?tab=account>.

This is clumsy and error-prone, since there are a few issues that may arise through the use of another program to open the .pub file in order to copy it into the clipboard (this program may, for instance, break the line into several smaller ones, or the user may neglect to include significant whitespace).

Allowing the user to simply upload the .pub file, instead of copy/pasting its contents, would be simpler for the user, and more robust in terms of fidelity.
