bs20303-activities1Make a list of products and services which are subject to seasonal demand. Imagine that you work for a business offering one of these products or services to the public. What might you expect the sales forecast for the year ahead to look like? When would your busiest period be? When would sales be at their lowest? What could your business do in order to get an income during these periods?2Think about a small business in your area. What kind of market research data could the business use to help it to gain a competitive advantage? Write a proposal suggesting the kinds of research you think the business should engage in and give reasons for your suggestions.3A local shop has decided to set up a loyalty card scheme, and has asked you to help design the form for customers to fill in when they are first given the card. What kind of information does the shop need to know about its regular customers? What questions would you need to put on the form in order to collect this information? What other information could the shop get about its customers' shopping habits by using a system of loyalty cards?4

Include one activities template at the end of each learning object.

Activities is a pop-up window which appears when the learner selects the Activities button.

There is one set of activities per Learning Object.

There are no restrictions on the length of DEFINITION (but don't make it too long!).

DURATION is a time in minutes (an integer).

TYPE is to be decided.

If you want to add additional rows to the list above, place your cursor to the right of the last row and press Enter. Repeat this process three more times to add four rows, because each activity requires NUM, TYPE, DEFINITION & DURATION fields. If you add additional rows, you will need to enter the details in the grey fields, matching the ones above and incrementing the line number.
