PROGRESS REVIEW DAY WEDNESDAYNOV 26TH
All lessons arecancelled on this day, but students can use the library to catch up on work if appropriate.UCAS and Careers workshops are running in the Careers library forany student who is interested in researching future opportunities. The librarywill be open for use by students who need to catch up on work.
Tutors with large tutor groups or part time staff canuse tutorials either side of Review Day.
- Accessthe electronic tutor review form by clicking on Christmas Review desktop iconas before.
- Clickon Tutorial review and enter your staff code e.g. CCA. Click OK.
- Selectyour tutee and work across the horizontal tabs
N.B. You can click on Preview studentReport icon to view their report at any stage
- Main Page - check details and date are correct. Add Primary School details too please.Also discuss and record career plans after Tauntons and the importanceof remaining on the 2 year course they have embarked on. Use this as amotivational process. At no stage encourage a student to leave half way throughtheir L3 programme.
- Areas discussed - gives a selection of areas you may wish todiscuss, these are not mandatory, chose what is most appropriate for yourtutee. Then summarize your discussion in full sentences, writing in the secondperson throughout. "You are ......"Remember parents will read this.
- Action Plan - This section should be student led and prioritise the areasof concern
- REFERRAL section - please tick as you feel appropriate after discussion with student. Use the following as guidance
- Library - if homework is not being completed discuss which frees the student could be booked into the library and the length of time they need to attend, eg up until half term.
- SSM - Students who have unsatisfactory in almost all their subjects or have serious pastoral concerns. SSM will follow up by meeting with their parents if appropriate.
- Study skills Support - Students who are trying hard, but not achieving their minimum targets or what they would like to achieve. PDA will follow up with Study Skills Champions..
- UCAS and Careers Workshop - Yr 2 ONLY - In the Careers library TODAY for any not completed their UCAS
- Dept Workshop - Weekly slots in many departments. HODs will follow up. Please tick subject areas if a student would benefit from attending workshops.
- Ifyou have access to a printer, print out a copy for the student to sign and keepby clicking on Print tutor review by student. Alternatively you can print theentire group's tutor reviews once complete by clicking on Print tutorreview by tutor. Tomove to your next student simply select their name from the list.
