A few usability fixes needed to the template editing interface:

1. Allow user to click on the template image to select positions (javascript) (add text to describe this)
2. Update displayed item immediately as settings edited (javascript)
3. Automatically fill in default date string when 'date' type selected (if string is currently blank)
4. Show 'unsaved changes' in bold
