I found then when using the 'importnow.php' script to pull from an XML file - if I had the file path wrong, there was no error message stating something like "file not found" or "check your file path and be sure to include /" or something like that giving more information about what went wrong - I just get a blank screen. It would be helpful if there could be some type of error messages such as:
file not found
wrong file type - file must be xml
file found, but error in line....
The same should be true for the tools/extractprocess.php script which runs the folder level flatfiles.
As for the documentation, it would be great if both the help files and the read me file contained a couple more specifics about file locations:
Banner XML file location: The path (on the Moodle server) where the XML file that you would like to import resides. (This filename must end in .xml or .XML. If the file is in the LMB folder, the location could be file.xml, or if it is in another folder, it could be /moodlehome/enrol/lmb/folder/file.xml)
Banner XML folder location: The path (on the Moodle server) to the directory where a set of XML files will be located. (If the folder is in the LMB folder, the location could be /folder/, or if it is in another folder, it could be /moodlehome/enrol/lmb/folder/) where the location starts and ends with / ....)
something along those lines that spells it out even better for dummies like me!
