This may not be a particularly important issue, because it is associated with
Visible Group forums, which I understand the OU doesn't make much use of (if
any).

However... if you login as a Tutor and select a group of which you are not a
member, you see the list of discussions for that group. You also see the 'View
posts by user' button.

If you select the 'View posts by user' button you get an 'error' message:
'Group not associated to specified course'. The list of users can't be
displayed because da3542 is not a member of the selected group. So it's
probably correct behaviour in a way, but the message seems a bit unhelpful.

Two questions:
(1) Could the message be made more helpful? 'You cannot view posts by user for
this group because....'
(2) If on the main forum page you select a group of which you are not a member,
should the 'View posts by user' option disappear altogether (or maybe this
would just be confusing)?
