      Description

Hotpot is not fully converted to new 2.0 APIs and doesn't currently work.

We think Hotpot should be moved to contrib for now until it gets attention.

After the move anybody may improve the hotpot code, it would not be possible after the hard freeze in 2.0 branch.

User data will be kept in database during an upgrade, the UI should not throw any errors if files are missing.

Just an update. I have been working hard on this for a couple of weeks, and am beginning to show progress.

The latest version of the module will allow you to create and view a HotPot activity, and then submit the results of an attempt which is stored correctly in the database.

I now have in my sights the reports, the backup, and then the update of the files, probably in that order.

        best regards
        Gordon

I have finished the reports and the backup/restore. Yay!

        The remaining tasks are:

        • update of files from Moodle 1.9
        • review of an individual attempt
        • attempt with hotpot navigation settings other than "Moodle navigation bar"
