On an algebra question, if, for instance, i give the response "(3/2)*4" and hit the "Display response" button, this response is displayed as:
(3/2)times4
which, in my opinion is ugly. Should not be better to use a \cdot to indicate product?
At first sight it seemed a bug to me, because I thought the developers indended to use "\times" to draw the LaTeX symbol "x" to indicate product but they missed the "\" before "times", as "times" is displayed in math font.
But then I saw that there's a translatable string "times" between all qtype_algebra strings in AMOS, so it seems that developers want this string translatable, which means that it cannot be a LaTeX command.
Is this really intended, or is it a bug?
Orestes.
