We receive an email notification which includes an attached file. The link to this file which appears in the email notification does not work.

STEPS TO TAKE
1. Add dataform activity
2. Add file (field type)
3. Add View (Grid)
4. Add notification -
Content from view: (choose the view created)
Format: HTML format

5. Logged in with test student account via Internet Explorer - create an entry
6. Attempt to open notification link in another browser e.g. Firefox (it fails)
7. Attempt to open notification link in Internet Explorer (it works)

It seems that the browser used to create the entry must be the browser to view it to some extent at least...

I noticed the links to the file actually change within Moodle itself for example:
1. I created a entry in Firefox
2. On creation the link address was: ...

mod_dataform/content/NjcxNzgsMDkxYTRiM2QyNDU2MDkzNWNkNTc4NWNhMDVjMmNmODA%3D/FF2.docx

3. This was also the link on the email notification.

4. On loading the dataform view on Internet Explorer however I noticed the file path was different e.g.

mod_dataform/content/NjcxNzgsOWZiOTNiYjNkNmU3NGFlZGQ5NjBhMThkMzE4YjkwZDk%3D/FF2.docx
