Appointment notifications in Course overview (Dashboard)

It would be ideal if some alerts could be shown in the Dashboard's Course overview block, not only in the Calendar - when appointments are due (have recently been due / have not yet been attended ). Otherwise, the Timeline of the Course overview looks incomplete, and the rather big Calendar block must be specially moved to the centre to grab students' attention to any forthcoming course appointments.
