Completion progress block version: 2022112800
It appears that when there are restrictions/visibility requirements for activities, teachers are not able to see the progress completion when going into Overview page of the Completion progress block.
Steps to replicate:
- Create a course and enrol teacher and students.
- Create group name "YYY" and add teacher and students to that.
- In Topic 1, add the following assignment activities (completion tracking = On):
name - assignmentAB
name - assignmentBC
Settings for both
Untick/disable - allow all date settings in the "Availability"
Use Separate groups
Tick - Student must receive a grade to complete this activity
Tick - Student must make a submission - Add a completion progress block in the course page. Use settings below:
-
- Activities included = Selected activities
- Select activities = tick both assignmentAB and assignmentBC
- Login as teacher and click the "Overview of students".
- RESULT: The completion progress is correctly displayed.
- Go back to the course page and in the General section, add aassignment: firstAssign.
tick - Student must view this activity to complete it - Edit Topic 1 section and click Restrictions / Add restriction / Activity completion. Choose firstAssign for the activity completion and "must be marked complete"
- Log in as the teacher and visit the Overview of students.
RESULT: The completion progress is now displaying the following
None of the monitored activities are currently visible. ?
However, teachers are able to view the activities as they have permissions for the required capabilities. If the student completes the activity, the Overview page will show their completion, but only for that student only. Other students listed in the Overview page still shows "None of the monitored activities are currently visible".
