Overview
This MUA funded project wil provide the ability for an admin to set system level defaults for activity completion. This will include improving the existing site admin UI.
This will allow instructors to set different completion criteria for different activity types that will be inherited automatically by newly created activities. Similar in action to the site admin level defaults that only affect newly created courses.
This is targeted for the Moodle 4.3 release, the aim is to have this built for all activity types however depending on complexity and available time core activitys will be prioritised first. Remaining activities will be completed in followup releases if required.
Objectives
- Create a settings page where Adminstrators can set completion defaults by each activity type
- Improve the usability of existing completion settings for core activity types (re-arrange settings, use progressive disclosure, validation on conflicting settings)
- Implement a simple inheritance model that makes it easy to manage changes
Prototypes
The below prototype is subject to change and is not final.
