Overview 

 IDEA-206  identified that the current Assignment Submissions summary page where instructors can see all user submissions was a significant painpoint and required design work to bring it in line with the modern Moodle interface.  There were also some confusing interactions for users which need to be reviewed and improved.  Note the scope is intentionally constrained as there will be other larger pieces of work to come.

Objectives

• Improve the styling and usability of the page as a whole
• standardise some UI elements (such as filters) to be consistent with other parts of the system
• Reveiw the presentation of data to make it more streamlined
• Address any identified Accessibility issues
• Minor improvements to some workflows

Updates

Inital work has been done on this.  Early prototype can be found here,  this is not a exaustive prototype but shows the general direction of the development.

First changes have been scheduled into the current increment

Majority of the work on the submissions page has been delivered in the Moodle 4.5 release.  some smaller followup improvements will be delivered for Moodle 5.0
