      Description

When an assignment is graded and an e-mail is automatically sent to the student, the e-mail should include the grade and feedback received for the assignment, as a convenience. So instead of just saying "[educator] has posted some feedback on your assignment submission for '[assignment]'. You can see it appended to your assignment submission", it ought to just give you the feedback right there in the e-mail, instead of making you click the link, login to Moodle, etc. This would be much more convenient and would cut down on traffic a bit as well.

While I understand your reasoning on this and have talked about this with other teachers, there is a good reason not to implement this. The reason is that grades or feedback might change and the link always provides the current and up-to-date grade and feedback.

If it were to be added as a feature in the future, it should be an option to be chosen at the site or course level, and the email notice should give the link with the notice "click here to get the most recent grade and feedback" or something to that effect.

Then again I have talked to many secondary school teachers who would like precisely this facility!

There is a difference between university level students and 11 to 16 yr olds who do not necessarily read or understand what they have to do when they read the message delivered to them in an email. They are however motivated to read information which they can see is directly relevant to their work

        All the best.

Changing component and assigning to assignment component lead for consideration.
