When working with the gradebook (e.g. the grader report), most settings have a default value. The trouble is that there is no indication where this default value comes from, and where it can be overriden. There are 9 pages of gradebook settings in admin, plus there is the "gradebook course settings" page. The location of the settings within these pages is sometimes far from intuitive from an end-user's point of view.
The suggested fix is to add a link to the course/admin page where each setting default can be overriden, next to the lower-level setting input.
For example, in the grader report "My report preferences" page, next to the "Aggregation position" drop-down, print a link to the Course settings page if its setting is not set to default, or to the admin "general settings" page otherwise.
