            (Whoops, submitted before I was finished).

            check_dir_exists() should even be needed ... Eloy can you use this function instead?

            make_upload_directory() in moodlelib.php

            It has the advantage of doing the whole directory in one step. It also uses chown as a follow up which helps on some servers.

            Opps,

            I never checked the CFG->disablescheduledbackups = true possibility, sorry!!

            I'll test this just now. Ciao

            From Eloy Lafuente (stronk7 at moodle.org) Thursday, 27 May 2004, 01:40 AM:

            Now in CVS. Removed backup/lib.php dependency.

            Perhaps some parts of the backup/restore processes can be modified to use the core make_upload_directory() function instead of the current check_dir_exists() one. Ok?

            Closing the bug in some hours....ciao
