Hello,
we have the problem that our students have a lot of courses in the block "my courses" when they have logged in. We use very often meta-courses, and so they have a lot of metacourses displayed in this block.
But they get a link from a normal student course to the material in the meta course. Thats why it is not so important to diplay the meta courses.
I think it would be a good idee to make this block over the global configuration for this block to have the choice to show or not to show meta courses in the block "my courses".
I hope you can understand my bad english ....
