      Description

      clicking the "add new post" on the "blog menu block" and then adding a new post...
      i am navigated successfully to my personal (site) blog page. in which i can not directly
      return to the course i was just at before pressing the "add new blog post" link.

      i guess the $courseid was not passed on or plain missing from moodle/blog/edit.php "add" action switch.

      to fix it, please add after line 101~ (just after " $post->publishstate = 'site'; " ) :
      $post->courseid = $courseid;

          Nadav, thanks for your report and suggested fix.

          I'm not convinced that users should have a course link in the navigation bar after adding a new blog post though, since blogs are outside of courses, and if a course link is added, it makes it look like the blog is within a course.

          Reassigning to moodle.com for consideration.

          so how can users get back to the course they were in before the post ?

          maybe the new post edit page should appear in a new pop-up window
          and upon submitting the post, the window closes and the user is back
          in the course he/she was in the first place ?
