      Description

See screenshot. I think there are some room for improvement here. The current "Force and "Advanced" checkbox options are not clear to users and there is NO help buttons or anything to further explain what these two checkboxes will do. Thanks!

I don't know if it is this bug (because I don't understand it), or it really is bug in functionality. But "Forcing" the " Aggregate only non-empty grades" option doesn't seem to have an effect on existing courses. It hides that option in the course, but the behavior doesn't change.

In other words, if I force that option to "No" in the admin area, an existing course still behaves as if it was "Yes"... If I don't force it, the option in the course seems to work fine.

We have detected that this issue has been inactive for over two years and also did not collect many votes. It is possible that it has been already implemented in a more recent version of Moodle, or it is not highly demanded. There are unlimited number of ways Moodle functinality can be expanded and improved but we would like to concentrate on the features that will benefit majority of users, and which can not be implemented as plugins. If you have a suggestion for improving Moodle core, and there is no open issue for it in the tracker, please start a new forum discussion to see how many other users agree with you, and then create a new issue providing as many details as possible.
