      Description

When looking at a category in editing mode, the Resort by name button does actually resort the courses as expected, no problem there.

However, it appears the sortorder is not honoured when displaying the course list.

I experience it too on my site after upgrading to Moodle 1.4.2+ (2004083129)

Martin, cannot repro on any of our installations (using both mysql and Postgres). More details are welcome

        Maybe a misbehaving cache/proxy?

From Martin Dougiamas (martin at moodle.com) Sunday, 21 November 2004, 01:37 AM:

No, it's definitely some SQL somewhere.

Look at the URL on this bug .. (http://moodle.org/course/category.php?id=1) ... the courses there are all sorted by ID (hover over the names to see).

However, the actual sorting is not that (ie the sortorder field). When in editing mode the order is shown correctly.

Fixed in CVS just now. Passing NULL to a function parameter does not make the parameter default to the function-defined value.

Yes, it on SQL... l'll try to download it again and see what happen.

        Thanks for the response...

There have been additional fixes today for front page ordering of courses. Please get the latest version and let us know!
