In Moodle 2.0 RC1 (Build: 20100923), there are several "important" places (i.e. visible by a regular user, not an admin) where the multilang filter is not applied on course categories, e.g. :

      • on the site front page, the combo list is not filtered (but the list of categories is, which is not very consistent !)
      • in the "navigation" block.
We are a bilingual university (see http://moodle.unifr.ch), so this is quite annoying. In the current version of our platform (Moodle 1.9), we had to modify the code in several places to make it work, and I would have hoped this would no longer be necessary in Moodle 2 !
