      Description

It would be more intuitive if users could send in their ratings as they make them with a button available next to each rating, or some other mechanism. The fact that the send in my latest ratings button is way down on the bottom of the page (and depending on how many posts are on that page) means that some people may not realize they need to push that button to submit ratings.

Assigning to me temporarily because Vy-Shane no longer works for Moodle HQ.

I second with Hansen. This is also problematic with a long discussion thread (you will have to scroll all the way to the bottom to submit the rating)... my $0.02..

This strikes me as being similar to editing grades in the 1.9 gradebook. Isn't there or was there not discussion about an option for some AJAX functionality? I think that whatever we are doing with assignment quick grading, and the gradebook, should be used with forum grading as well. I think it would be helpful if Laia could compare how these three systems for providing multiple grades are working and ensure that they are consistent. From there, she can come up with some usability recommendations for developers about how to consistently handle such situations. Peace - Anthony

Here http://docs.moodle.org/en/Student_projects/Usability_issues/Sendinratings I compare the three different types of grading and I specify which fields should be added to each grading in order to all have the same functionalities and are consistent. Furthermore, I wrote some recommendations that should be done by grading in order to preserve consistency.

I also think that there should be a submit button at the bottom of the page and next to each grade so there is not an usability problem when if there are many posts per page. Duplication sometimes can be useful.

In working on CONTRIB-1085, I had an a chance to do some testing of MDL-17364. Seems safe to resolve this as closed since it was duplicated by MDL-17364. If not, let me know and we can re-open. Peace - Anthony
