mod/data/edit.php needs to be seriously looked at and cleaned up, especially in respect to the output of errors when adding new records.
Errors + notifications should be collected and then output later on so that any redirects won't conflict with output.

Eloy also noted that if the max entries have been reached the save as new entry button should not be shown.
