      Description

As far as I can tell the final grade is only posted in the grade book. For those of us who don't make the gradebook available to students it means that they don't have access to the final grade. Could we put both the assessment and sumission grade where it can be readily accessible.

Agreed, this is an important point. I have forgotten that the gradebook can be actually disabled from students. Thanks for the report!

          I'm just going to say

          Workshop

so that this comes up when searching using the term 'workshop'!

Attaching a screenshot of the workshop main page as it looks to a student when the workshop is closed. The final grades are now displayed to them.

The actual grade value and its display type is taken from the gradebook. This allows to define the expected display type of the grade via the grade item setting in the gradebook.

In the attached example, the grade for submission's display type is the "real" value with 0 decimal numbers. The grade for assessment's display type is "letter".

If a grade is hidden in the gradebook, it is not displayed to the user unless they have the capability to see hidden grades.

          (1) David does this push back any grade changes made in the gradebook even for students who did not complete the assignment. So if I assign the student a zero because they didn't complete the asssessment - than the student's grade will show as a "zero" in workshop?

          (2) Is it possible to have a summary that shows the actual submission grades given to the student's paper with a link to the assessments done on the paper and a link to the assessments done by the students Should I list this as a separate improvement request?

The main moodle.git repository has just been updated with latest weekly modifications. You may wish to rebase your PULL branches to simplify history and avoid any possible merge conflicts. This would also make integrator's life easier next week.

          TIA and ciao

          @Vernellia

re (1) Yes. The grade from the gradebook is displayed regardless what was calculated by the workshop itself.

re (2) Yes please, report it as a separate feature request. I've been already playing with an option to display a part of the current grading report to students so they have an overview of how their grades were calculated. But that requires a bit more changes in the code so I postponed it.

          Hi David,

This is conflicting on integration/master and I don't want to mess up the conflict resolution so reopening this.

          cheers,

I just rebased the branch against integration/master and fixed the conflicting part. I removed "Pull Master Diff URL" as it is not valid any more.
