Start test before upgrade! Go to Site administration>Plugins>Activity modules>Feedback and set $CFG->feedback_allowfullanonymous to yes Create an anonymous feedback on the front page, add some questions Log out and complete this feedback Login as admin and allow capability mod/feedback:complete for guests . Note that allowing it will not change anything Upgrade Login as admin and make sure that capability mod/feedback:complete is NOT allowed for guests. Log out Make sure you can still complete anonymous feedback on the front page As admin Go to feedback settings and make sure you see deprecation notice. Create a course with guest access and add anonymous feedback to this course, add some questions Log out and make sure you can see feedback as a guest but can not complete it. Login as admin and allow capability mod/feedback:complete for guests Logout and make sure that you CAN complete feedback inside a course as a guest Login as admin and unset $CFG->feedback_allowfullanonymous Log out and make sure you can complete both feedbacks - on the frontpage and inside the course
