Defaults for Lessons

I would like to suggest being able to set defaults for Lessons coursewide. This would be identical to the Lesson Settings page, except it would apply to all Lessons within the course. The multitude of options for each Lessons makes ensuring that each Lesson behaves the same as the next an arduous task, while placing those settings in a single place would be much quicker. An option could be added to the settings page for each Lesson Module that would ask if the user would like to use the Lesson Defaults or not. Or, any changes to the individual Lesson settings would take precedence over the defaults. Different Lesson profiles could even be setup and given names, though that seems much more complicated.

A comment made in the forums suggested using the Moodle 2.1 clone feature to set up a "Default" lesson and then copy it each time you want to make a new Lesson. This seems like a workaround rather than a true implementation of the feature I am requesting.
