Filepicker can't upload, Invalid JSON string

      Moodle 2 installed on a linux Virtual Dedicated Server.
      When attempting to upload files via filepicker from within a course, some file will load (usually small .txt files) while almost all other files do not load and error message of "error Invalid JSON string" (see attachment below)
