      Description

We would like to be able to assign a Theme to a person depending upon the cohort they belong to. We have developed a number of Themes for Moodle (V2) in our college. The idea being that when you are enrolled in a course the overall site theme will change depending on what course you are enrolled in. Currently we are able to set the theme when the user is within the course pages, however when they are in higher level pages such as their individual 'Home' pages the theme changes back to the site theme. It would be a great improvement if the theme was dependant upon the enrolment and consistent throughout. Perhaps cohort themes.

Future planned work on multi-tenancy may resolve help with this.

Thanks for the fast reply. However I don't think that I have made myself clear in my explanation. The Multitenant document at https://github.com/skodak/moodle/wiki/Multitenant states that this isn't meant for splitting an organization (this is something that we want to do) - but supporting multiple companies on the same Moodle platform (we do not want to do this). It also states in the FAQ's that One user cannot access multiple tenants and that tenant users cannot participate in the standard global Moodle site - (This is something that we want all users to be able to do). It states that this defeats the purpose of tenants and this is the reason for course categories.

We have a number of global areas that we want users to be able to access - but depending on the course they are enrolled in we want the Theme to be slightly different(mainly color)in the global areas. This means that the Theme needs to be associated with the persons course they are enrolled in. At the moment the Theme changes when they are within the course but not when they are on the more global areas of Moodle.

I hope that this explanation is clearer.
