Teacher could enter comments manually by Turning editing on in the gradebook and selecting the edit icon next to a particular student's grade. Then enter feedback into corresponding field. When doing this, it will keep the current grade but see it as an overridden grade. Grades could no longer be changed at the local level. In addition, this is not scalable to large class sizes.

      1. Create forum and set to have sum of ratings (or anything aggregate type).
      2. Have a student account create forum post.
      3. Teacher account assign rating to student post.
      4. Teacher export gradebook to plain text file; Expand "Export format options" and check "include feedback in export".
      5. In the CSV file, enter feedback into the feedback column.
      6. Import CSV file to gradebook.
      7. Map the feedback for the forum activity.
      8. Select import
      9. After import, review grades and ensure that you can see that the forum rating that was assigned in step 3 has not been over-written.
      10. Now with the CSV file, make changes to a different activity. Change the grade and provide feedback. Also change some of the comments on the forum activity.
      11. This time when importing. Import both the grade and feedback for one activity (by mapping those columns) and just the feedback again for the forum activity.
      12. Ensure that the grade and feedback are imported correctly for both activities.

Scenario: Teacher has many comments they wish to upload to the gradebook for various assignments. Many assignments like online text have a comments/feedback field in the local assignment next to where they may enter grade. Some modules don't have this though like the forum. So if teacher had comments that he/she wanted student to see in gradebook, teacher would have to add directly to the gradebook. Doing one by one is manageable for small classes but large classes it would be much easier to upload a CSV file of comments. So if teacher exports gradebook to excel file and checks box for "Include feedback in export", feedback columns are created in excel file. Teacher enters comments in feedback column, exports as CSV and imports. During import process, teacher selects to ignore all columns except for mapping the feedback columns to the proper comments item. After importing, any grades associated at local assignment level are overridden even though during import process that column was set to ignore.
