Description
I was reminded this week by people taking a short timed quiz, that the timer no longer moves down the screen as they expected, many expressed surprised when the time was up as they had no warning. This was when multiple questions were on a page thus making them scroll.
The feature was there in Moodle 1.9 and is still mentioned in Moodle Docs and in the Help text of Moodle 2.
I have a vague recollection about Tim mentioning at a Moot in the UK that it was removed but I just cant find the discussion to link about where this was agreed to remove.
If you are using a timed quiz and not keeping 1-2 questions per page, then if it does not float then people will be surprised by the end of the quiz. Most quizzes I have seen are 5+ questions per page, but perhaps that is just me.
Perhaps this feature can be put back as optional if people don't like the float aspect?
