    Details

      Description

The new activity picker can be problematic where:

Monitor resolution is not sufficiently high to negate the need to scroll to see all listed activities
Activities/Resources exceed that which can be accessed without scrolling within the picker.

      Suggestions:

Review positioning so that it is visible within 768px vertical res.
"Reflow" the Activity/Resource list into an additional column where available items exceed the depth of the picker.

There may be better options than the above.

I'm not sure if its just us, but we just installed 2.3 on our development server and the Activities section appears above the Resources in the activity picker. Can we swap that around so Resources appears on top?

This would make it easier for folks who simply want to add files (so they don't have to scroll further down the list).

I don't think that swapping the order will help as everyone will have their own preference. Ideally these need to be spread horizontally IMO to negate scrolling altogether.

Although I like it, it adds more clicks to the user workflow.

And when you are adding in 1000 url resources, the extra clicks count!

How about swapping the "show description" when the activity name has a mouse over?

A1and a single click adds it rather than a double click or a click + clicking on add

Also would be good to have the order in which they appear configurable via admin settings.

I am un-assigning myself from this issue as I am not currently working on this and it will give the opportunity for someone else to work on it.
