Description
In version 1.9, I could give a math quiz, write a short answer question, give the quiz to students and then see ALL of the student responses, even the wrong ones. Then I would look at the wrong responses in the item analysis and then copy partial credit answers to the list to make the question better for the next time I gave the quiz. This process was important for coming up with a list the most popular responses that people would give, even ones that needed partial credit.
Moodle 2.0+ does not display this or I have not seen it yet. Is it going to be in the 2.3 upgrade?
In 2.0+ you have to go to Navigation/Quiz/Results/Responses to see all of the responses. The problem with this list of student responses is that you have to look at every student to see all of what was entered. What Moodle 1.9 does better is create an item analysis list of all the UNIQUE responses and shows frequency.
The ULTIMATE IMPROVEMENT would be to have a text box that is next to each response (even the unexpected wrong ones) in the moodle 1.9 style item analysis table, so that if a partial credit value is entered, the response would get automatically added to the list of short answer possibilities with partial credit included! This would be a gold mine for math teachers!
