Students Notified of Grades Before released

As I grade assignments students are notified of the grade when I save it rather than when I release it. As a teacher, I teach large classes and I often want and need to go back review grades to be sure that I have been consistent. I also grade over several days, some times a couple of weeks. I don't want any students getting any grades until I have completed the grading. Previous version had the option of not notifying the student until you were ready. This is a significant usability issue. Since it will limit what I can use assignment for if they all have to be graded in one sitting.
