Making Edit Icons to be *selectively* viewable

Moodle v2 can be extremely slow when in edit mode.

Page load time seems to be affected by fact that every course page item has a set of nine icons:

      • Pencil
      • Out-dent
      • Indent
      • Move
      • Edit
      • Copy
      • Delete
      • Make visible/invisible
      • Groups
      • E.g. a 12-week couse with 10 items per week = 12x10x9 = 1080 icons for one page!

Suggestion is that: in edit mode, NO edit icons are viewable. To see them, instead, user could Control-click the item to be edited. A little menu then appears with the 9 x edit icons FOR THAT ITEM ONLY from which the user then selects the edit function required.

This should speed up course page load times dramatically?
