The student view of the Gradebook becomes very unwieldy and long when the Gradebook has several categories and subcategories, with several items in each category/subcategory, with several comments entered for items.

The view would be improved greatly if the categories were collapsible, so that a student sees the overall totals for each category at the top level first. Then the student could click on the category title or an expand icon to see the detailed grade break-down in each category.
