The new SVG icons are cool, but it would be nice if you could use the relatively common icon font method to embed them rather than as SVG images.
Advantages include easy recoloring, drop-shadows and other fancy CSS text effects and IE support amongst other things.

Note, I'm talking about the monochrome icons used for actions, not the multicolor ones used for activity icons, which wouldn't be appropriate.
