      Site admin settings.

      If you are lucky enough to have this as your first test and you haven't already loaded the patch, then go to step 2, other wise follow step 1.

      1. Check out an instance (or create a new instance or if you think that you are lucky - revert the patches and alter the version number in the config table back to an earlier number) So that you can select the settings below and then upgrade to the new version.
      2. Go to [Site administration ► Security ► Site policies] and set the 'Full name format' to 'First name + Surname'.
      3. Enable the patch, update the system and then navigate back to [Site administration ► Security ► Site policies].
        • Check that 'Full name format' shows the tokens as '{$a->lastname} {$a->firstname}'
      4. Repeat step one and two, but change the settings to 'Surname + First name'.
        • Check that 'Full name format' shows the tokens as '{$a->firstname} {$a->lastname}'
      5. Repeat step one and two, but change the settings to 'First name'.
        • Check that 'Full name format' shows the tokens as '{$a->firstname}'
        • Now try entering in your own combination and make sure that it saves
        • If you would be so kind. Please create a new instance of moodle and check that all of the tables are created correctly.

      Additional user profile details.

      1. Go to the user edit page (yours or someone else).
        • Check that new additional name fields are displayed -
          First name - phonetic
          Surname - phonetic
          Middle name
          Alternate name
          Alias name
      2. Fill in each of the new fields.
        • Save the form and check that the information was saved.

      Course settings.

      1. Create a new course.
      2. Go to the Language tab and click on the show more... tab.
      3. Enter some tokens into the 'Course full name format' section. Click the help button for additional help if needed.
        • Save changes and then edit the course and check the settings to see that they saved.
      4. Update the name format of the course to something different.
        • Save the changes and then check again that they were saved.

      Module settings.

      1. Create a new activity.
      2. Go to the 'Common module settings' tab and click on 'show more...'
      3. Enter some tokens into the 'Module full name format' section. Click the help button for additional help if needed.
        • Save changes and then edit the activity and check the settings to see that they saved.
      4. Update the name format of the activity to something different.
        • Save the changes and then check again that they were saved.

      For the inclusion of alternate names the following tables need to be altered:

      • users
      • course
      • course_modules
        Also the admin, course and common activity settings will have to be edited to include these new settings.
